The property has been converted from an old ruin into a luxurious country house, full of character, built to exceptional standards and with breathtaking views over the undulating vineyards and green hills of mid-Istria.

The property, concieved and designed by a locally born London graduate artist, is situated along the ancient Roman road and old narrow-gauge railway (''La Parenzana'') which, a century ago, used to connect the coastal resort of Poreè with the Italian port of Trieste. The house is close to the medieval hilltop town of Motovun and the oak forests by the river Mirna. The area is famous for wines and truffles, so it is the real spot for gourmets. There is a riding stable nearby and the old railway path is very popular among mountain bikers and trekkers.
